I know I said the comic was going to be starting up in January. Well a lot of stuff happened to veer us off of that track for the time being. Namely I just needed to rethink the whole story structure. I take full blame here. Iwan was a trooper and got all of the art to me for the first part of the story, he’s awesome. I however got a bit overwhelmed with everything else I’ve been working on. So we’re in the process of restructuring. So I’m not sure what the end result of this will all be. We will have a comic, at this point though I’m not sure if we will even run this as a webcomic.

My sister Sylvia Moore will be coming in to help sharpen up the story and take over writing duties on the remainder of the first story. So at this point I’m thinking we might just get that completed and go ahead and print up a trade. Then decide where to go from there.

So Faerie Stories is still coming, just maybe a little more slowly than we’d have hoped for. I will continue to update here with whatever news I have along the way. So stay tuned, we’ll be back and with an even better product than what we would have launched with in January. I think this a good decision and I hope any of you that have followed us so far will stick around for the evolution. Thanks for reading!

Whew, so the site is almost finished.   It’s taken long enough!  There was a learning curve here for sure, but it’s looking pretty good I think.  Still a few pages to add and add to, but seeing as the comic hasn’t actually launched yet I’m going to hold off on a couple of those.  Or just take my time putting them together.  So now that the site is basically finished it’s time to concentrate on coloring the book!  I’ve just finished up the colors on all of the major character designs… I actually turned those into the first wallpaper for the site.  So if you want to see how they turned out then just check out the Extras section.

So anyway this is my first official blog post… the last one doesn’t count.  So to do it up properly I’m going to leave you with some behind the scenes coloring action that I actually worked on this morning.  More accurately it’s just me flatting a small piece, but I think it still might be entertaining.  I had some issues with the audio.  I think it messes up every time I minimize or maximize a window in Photoshop.  So sorry about that but I don’t know a way to fix it at the moment.  It hasn’t been an issue in the past really so I’ll try and figure out what’s up with that.

Also, before I show that I thought I’d mention that I’ve set up a page on the website that will house an embed of my livestream channel.  So basically that means you can come here to watch me work rather than the livestream url.  Which is kind of nice.  So I’m going to announce on Twitter and the Faerie Stories facebook page whenever I start the livestream.  I might set up a time each week to do it.  Not sure yet, still thinking about that.  I’m planning to start it up again while I’m coloring this piece.  So check back if your interested in that and follow us on twitter and facebook if you always want to be notified when I’m streaming.  So enough talk… here’s the video…

Sorry everyone, had some issues with a wordpress install and accidentally lost the entire Faerie Stories website.  Luckily there was not much here yet, but I’ll have to recreate the layout and rewrite the little content that was here.

A lesson in backing things up, that’s for sure.
